Options for combining sliding wardrobe door facades

By design, combined facades can be divided into several groups:

  1. Classic. These are solid facades made of chipboard sheets imitating wood, as well as mirror facades. They are combined in various combinations.
  2. Geometric. In this case, the sliding wardrobe door facades consist of separate rectangles that can be decorated with glass, mirror or chipboard. Various combinations of finishing materials are possible here, everything depends on the designer’s idea.
  3. Diagonal. Metal profiles are placed on the facade, dividing it into parts directed at an angle to each other. As in the geometric version, a combination of various materials is possible when finishing the facade.
  4. Sectoral. The profiles divide the facade into separate cells, each of which is decorated in accordance with the designer’s sketches.
  5. Wave. Instead of rectilinear profiles, curved ones are used, which allows dividing the facade with soft, smooth lines. This is the most expensive option to manufacture, since the profiles and the material for their filling are made individually.

Materials for filling wardrobe doors

The design of the wardrobe doors is determined not only by the principle of fastening the finishing material you have chosen, but also to a greater extent by the material that will fill the doors.

Chipboard

The most popular option due to its low price. Its main advantages are: durability, mechanical resistance, a variety of color solutions for the board, easy maintenance and safety in operation.

There is only one drawback to such wardrobe door facades – a rather modest appearance. Such a wardrobe will most likely be unnoticeable in the interior, however, many people strive for exactly this effect.

Fully mirrored doors will cost more than those combined with chipboard. The thickness of the material is 4 mm, on the back of the mirror there is a film (amalgam) protecting against damage.
