Bread maker
When we buy a bread maker, we imagine how we will eat delicious bread every day, but it often turns out that after a couple of weeks everyone safely forgets about it. As a result, the bread maker only takes up space in the kitchen and is used only on holidays.
Such a gadget in the kitchen will be useful if you live far from civilization, but when bakeries with delicious bread are practically at every step, it loses its relevance.
Rice cooker
Buying a rice cooker is justified if you are a fan of Asian cuisine, where rice is the main product. A rice cooker usually has a large set of modes for cooking rice and is quite compact.
However, this device has a narrow scope of application, so it would be more rational to buy a multicooker, in which you can cook a much larger number of products.
Pancake maker
Looking at an electric pancake maker, it seems that the process of making pancakes will be much easier, and the pancakes themselves will be tastier and thinner. In reality, their owners have to practice well before the pancake turns out thin. So maybe it would be easier to bake pancakes in a frying pan?
Check out a selection of useful gadgets for the kitchen.
Egg cooker
Cooking eggs the traditional way is easy, but with an egg cooker it becomes noticeably more complicated. Firstly, the eggs need to be pierced before cooking, otherwise they may burst during the process, and secondly, they need to be selected approximately the same size so that the result is no undercooked eggs.
A bonus to all this is cooling the boiled eggs, which requires removing them from the egg cooker, placing them under running cold water and not getting burned. Isn’t it easier to boil eggs the old-fashioned way?
Toaster
The average person is only interested in the toaster at first, and then it gets sent to gather dust along with the pancake maker and egg cooker. We are clearly more attracted to fresh and soft bread than fried bread.
If you want fried bread, it is more rational to buy a sandwich maker, in which you can make both separate toasts and hot sandwiches.
Electric meat grinder
In the past, this household item was very popular. The advantages of an electric meat grinder were the ability to see what the mince was made of and the speed of its preparation.
Now you can buy ready-made high-quality mince in any grocery supermarket, and any butcher’s shop can make it before your eyes from the piece of meat you like.
Waffle iron
When we buy such a device for the kitchen, we imagine how we will cook delicious waffle rolls with condensed milk, but in reality, after a couple of weeks, we begin to lose interest in the device.
The fact is that no matter how fresh waffles taste, they get boring over time. As a result, we send the waffle iron to gather dust in the cupboard and take it out only on holidays, and not always.
Juicer
When we buy a juicer, we hope that we will drink freshly squeezed juices every day, which are clearly healthier than store-bought ones. A bulky juicer, as a rule, has impressive dimensions and limited functionality, so it is rarely left on the countertop.
Every time you want to make juice, you need to take it out of the cupboard. For a regular glass of juice, you need about 3-4 apples, which must first be peeled. Afterwards, the juicer must be disassembled and washed, and this every time. It turns out that too much effort has to be put in for the sake of a couple of glasses of juice.
Combine processor
Due to their functionality, food processors are usually bulky and take up a lot of space. Not everyone needs the functions that this device offers us.
Many people like to cook without the help of special equipment. And using a food processor for single operations like making puree or whipping cream is too energy-consuming. For this, it is better to use a blender so as not to additionally wash the containers from the food processor.
Electric grill/air grill
Such kitchen equipment is not for daily use, so we also put it in the cupboard to take up space. Objectively, this device is more useful than many of the above, but it also has its drawbacks.
When buying a device, we hope to get that same “straight from the fire” taste, but in fact, the meat often turns out to be overdried, the device itself is difficult to clean and consumes a lot of electricity.
Fruit and vegetable dryer
As a rule, the items are large, so they will take up a lot of space in a small or medium-sized kitchen. Fruits and vegetables can be dried without the use of this device.
It will be enough to simply use the oven or lay them out on sheets of paper. Of course, a dryer will do the job faster, but you can do without it.
Kitchen appliances, although designed to facilitate and improve the cooking process, can actually be useless. Many household items after purchase eventually move to the balcony or gather dust in the depths of the kitchen cabinet.
