General information
The area of the Moscow apartment is 52 sq. m. Decorator Olga Zaretskikh furnished it for herself and her husband, so the interior turned out to be homey and at the same time sophisticated. The colors used in the decoration are standard: light walls contrast with dark parquet flooring. This is a universal combination that is relevant at all times.
Layout
To make the apartment more comfortable for two people, the passage to the kitchen from the hallway was eliminated in favor of enlarging the bathroom. The kitchen was combined with the living room: the room became spacious and comfortable. Thanks to the doors with glass elements, natural light from the kitchen and the room began to enter the hallway.
Kitchen
The kitchen walls are painted in a light turquoise shade, which gives the atmosphere a fresh feel. The apron is made of hog-shaped tiles to match the furniture. The corner kitchen unit rises almost to the ceiling and allows you to place everything you need, and the glass doors give the furniture lightness and airiness. The dining group consists of a round table and elegant chairs with curved backs. The combination of exquisite shapes with antique elements (retro stove, scales), as well as plant ornaments, makes the classic interior more cozy.
Benjamin Moore paint was used for finishing. Villeroy & Boch, Cezares faucets.
Living room
The room for relaxation and receiving guests is separated from the hallway and kitchen by translucent doors – this allows you to visually expand the space. The sofa is located in a niche of two open shelves. Books and dear things are stored on the shelves: the Zinger sewing machine can be called a relic passed down by inheritance.
The main furniture is assembled and brought from different places: from the dacha or from the previous apartment, but the design looks coherent due to the unifying decorative elements, as well as the armchair and IKEA shelving units, purchased specially. The doors were purchased from the Bryansky Les company, and the sofa was purchased from the Roy Bosh salon. Curtains from Arte Domo, carpet from IKEA.
Bedroom
Compared to the rest of the apartment, the bedroom looks more modern due to the color scheme. Light green wallpaper with an ornament was chosen for the wall decoration, and the bay window is framed by bright curtains. The headboard is decorated with an exotic decorative hat – in Cameroon, it is an amulet symbolizing luxury, wealth and power. Instead of a closet, the owner of the apartment arranged a dressing room in the room.
The bed was bought at Consul, the armchair – at Otto Stelle, the chest of drawers – at IDC Collection. Textiles were purchased at IKEA.
Thanks to the well-thought-out storage systems and the good taste of the owners, the interior of a small two-room apartment has become comfortable and harmonious.
