String and threads

To improve the appearance of a plain store-bought pot and add some personality, you can decorate it with threads. To do this, coat the pot with PVA glue and start wrapping it with thick threads. Instead of threads, you can use a rope or even ordinary laces.

Pots decorated with jute yarn also look very beautiful. Braids are first woven from jute, and then they are pasted over a flowerpot or pot.

If you give preference to bright colors, the flowerpots will turn out juicy and contrasting, and if you opt for calmer neutral colors, such decor will fit into any interior and will not stand out.

Degrade

This method is a bit similar to the previous one, as it also uses paint and water. However, the application technique itself is slightly different, which allows you to get a completely different result. Many people paint Easter eggs this way.

When painting in the “degrade” or “ombre” style, there is a smooth transition from a lighter to a darker shade, which creates a very interesting effect.

  1. To get everything right, you first need to use a little bit of dye. It is added to water, mixed thoroughly, achieving homogeneity of the coloring composition, and the pot is lowered into it.
  2. After this, a little more paint is added to the water and the pot is immersed not completely, but only to the required level.
  3. Such manipulations are carried out until the result satisfies you, and colored stripes of varying intensity appear on the pot.

Eco style is still at the peak of popularity, and many designers have long been using natural materials in their work. Who is stopping us from doing the same?

If you want to add some bright and original accents to your home, try decorating your flowerpots with wood. Twigs, sticks, or even bark collected in a nearby forest are suitable as decor. All materials are glued to the pot with a glue gun and then decorated with rope.

Another new trend among plant lovers is to cover ordinary terracotta flower pots with chalkboard paint. You can write on these wonderful pots with chalk, like on a real school board.

There is nothing complicated in making such a pot. The most important thing is to wash and degrease the surface so that the paint lies evenly. Then the dried and clean pot is covered with chalkboard paint in several layers.

If you plan to keep the pots on the terrace, then instead of chalk it is better to take a special marker for the board, then no rain will be able to wash off your inscription.
