Garden flowerbed
Hollow gas blocks are an original base for a garden flowerbed. It takes no more than a couple of hours to create such a flowerbed, and it will last for decades. Among other advantages:
- Aesthetics. The strict lines of block flowerbeds in combination with greenery look stylish and original.
- Mobility. The flowerbed can be disassembled and moved to another place for the new summer season.
- Variability. When creating a flowerbed, you can experiment with the shape, size, and arrangement of modules. Gas concrete blocks work like a construction set that can be assembled in several versions.
Street lights
LED lights can be placed in the niches inside the hollow aerated concrete blocks. Such compact modular lamps decorate garden paths and recreation areas.
By combining several vertically stacked gas blocks, we get a full-fledged lamppost for illuminating the area at night. If the LED does not illuminate the area brightly enough, a wire is laid inside the pole, and a lampshade for a more powerful lamp is attached to the upper block.
Fences and barriers
Due to their ideal geometry, block modules are an ideal option for constructing a frame for garden fences. They are used to separate the recreation area from the garden or outline the borders of a flower bed.
If there is little material, and the area that needs to be covered is quite large, wooden slats, bars, and metal rods are used in addition to the blocks. A small decorative fence can be made by stacking gas blocks on top of each other. To make the structure last longer, we level the base in advance.
Furniture for the recreation area
Stools, benches and tables made from leftover aerated concrete blocks not only help save money, but also look stylish. Planed boards or leftover clapboard are used for tabletops and seats.
Gray concrete and rich wood color create a harmonious ensemble in the style of eco-minimalism. The furniture is original, but laconic, does not draw attention to itself from the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Garden sculptures
Cellular concrete is considered one of the softest materials among its kind: it is easy to cut and grind. Using a hacksaw, an awl, a spatula and a rasp, you can make a real work of art out of an inconspicuous cube.
Traditional garden gnomes, animal figures or abstract columns with built-in LED lights will decorate the area and make it cozy.
Barbeque area
Aerated concrete is non-flammable and does not emits harmful substances, so it is ideal for creating a barbecue area. Everyone chooses the design themselves. You can opt for the simplest option with a fireplace and a place for a barbecue grill, or you can build an entire summer kitchen with a compartment for firewood, a table and a sink.
Outdoor fireplace
There is a special romance in sitting by an open fire on a summer evening. Therefore, outdoor fireplaces are increasingly appearing in garden plots. The fireplace structure is constructed from aerated concrete blocks, and then plastered or faced with brick.
To prevent the fireplace from looking like an alien object, place benches and couches made of wood and concrete around it.
Shelf
You can also organize a storage system for dishes or garden tools using concrete modules. It is enough to build a column from aerated concrete blocks laid on their sides or connect two supports with boards.
Couch or bed
You can make a bed for a summer house or a sun lounger in the garden using several concrete blocks, a sheet of plywood and a mattress. The niches are suitable for storing books, shoes, sunscreen and other small items.
Staircase Steps
Due to their simplicity, the blocks fit harmoniously into the natural landscape of the site. They are used to make garden paths, decks and steps. To prevent the steps from loosening under load, it is important to level the base.
The cleared area is filled with gravel and compacted, adding a little water. During the laying process, the steps are compacted with the excavated soil. The cavities are filled with gravel or covered with soil, some craftsmen sow lawn grass.
Excess gas blocks can be used not only to improve the garden plot, but also to create interior elements of a country house. Solid blocks will go to bar counters, plant pots or storage systems. Broken remains will come in handy for sealing cracks and floor screeds. In one fell swoop, you can free the area from construction waste and save a considerable amount on the purchase of new materials.
