Eternal classic
The simplest and most budget-friendly version of a brick barbecue is to simply lay out several rows of bricks in the shape of a square or rectangle. But here it is important to take into account the fact that for comfortable frying of meat, the distance from the coals to the top of the barbecue should be at least 25 – 40 cm. Therefore, you will need to lay out at least 3-4 rows of bricks.
You can leave one wall unlined or leave a small hole at the bottom to make it easy to remove burnt coals. And to protect from the rain, you can make a small dome-shaped smoke collector.
Without mortar
And in this case, only bricks are required, but it is better to take ordinary, not facing. Then the structure will last many times longer. The shape of such a barbecue can be absolutely any – from the usual rectangle to a more original one.
For example, a round brick barbecue looks interesting and unusual. And if you install a holder made of a metal pipe, you can cook food in a cauldron.
Barbeque with a smokehouse
And this is a barbecue for real gourmets. But it is not suitable for small areas, since its creation requires a lot of space.
It is better to make a barbecue with a smokehouse from red or firebrick. Then you can use it for decades. Additionally, you can lay out a place for storing firewood.
With a cauldron
A brick barbecue can be equipped with a stove with a cauldron. As a rule, cauldrons with a volume of no more than 8 liters are used for this. They are heated by a wood-burning stove, which must be built-in.
For such products, it is better to use red brick, but if desired, it can be painted in any other color.
However, it is important to pay attention to the fact that the paint must be fire-resistant. You shouldn’t skimp on this if you plan to use your brick barbecue for a long time.
Fireplace-barbeque
Such brick barbecues are quite complex to make, but despite this they are very popular. Most often, a fireplace acts as one of the main parts of a barbecue complex.
In the summer, it can be used as a barbecue, and in the winter it can heat the gazebo or room where it is installed.
Barbecue
A barbecue differs from a regular barbecue only in that the first case uses a grate, and the second – skewers. But if you equip it correctly, you can fry, smoke, and even bake meat or fish dishes.
Brick barbecue with sink and countertop
In order to have everything at hand while cooking shashlik or other dishes on the barbecue, you can make a small countertop and install a sink. It is quite convenient and practical, but during the construction of a brick barbecue, you need to provide a place for a sink and communications in advance.
Brick complexes
If you are not used to choosing and want everything at once, then in this case I suggest paying attention to the entire barbecue complexes. They have everything your heart desires: a wood-burning stove, a smokehouse, an oven, a barbecue, a cauldron, a sink, and a countertop. Such complex brick barbecues can be installed both outdoors and in gazebos, and even in a summer kitchen.
Barbeque with a canopy
To ensure that no weather can spoil your outdoor recreation, many advise installing at least a small canopy over the barbecue. It can be only over the product itself, or it can be placed over a larger area. In this case, there should be at least six supports so that the structure is reliable and does not cause any problems in the future.
A barbecue with a canopy will ideally fit into the exterior of a summer cottage, provided that the same material is used for the canopy as for the roof of the house.
Corner brick barbecue
Brick A barbecue installed in the corner of a plot along the wall allows you to save a lot of space, and therefore is an excellent option for small summer cottages.
In such complexes, it is convenient to place a sink, a small countertop, and a niche for firewood on the sides.
You can try to make simple designs yourself, but it is better to entrust the creation of more complex barbecues without knowledge of the technology to specialists.
