Bathroom in a Khrushchev-era building
In the example given, the door to the combined bathroom with an area of 2.4 square meters is opposite the toilet. This is the only drawback of this type of layout. To the right of the entrance is a 135 cm long bathtub, and to the left is a countertop with a sink.
The washing machine is shifted to the corner so that the plumbing is convenient to use. The space above the countertop is used to store toiletries.
Combined square bathroom
The bathroom has a full-size bowl installed along one of the walls, as well as a special rectangular sink with a built-in washing machine underneath. Opposite it is a toilet. A shelf for small items is located to the left of the mirror. In a small area, everything you need is compactly placed.
Tiny bathroom with shower
If the area of the room is only 2.2 meters, instead of a small sitting bath, it is worth installing a shower – it will visually enlarge the room. Only a corner sink fits, and unfortunately there is not enough space for a washing machine. The storage cabinet can be placed above the toilet.
Bathroom 5 sq.m.
This is a sufficient area for a bathroom, since it is easy to install a bathtub and a long countertop for two sinks – this is a convenient option if the owners of the apartment are going to work at the same time.
Instead of the second sink, you can build in a washing machine. The toilet is placed to the right of the entrance.
Compact bathroom
The bathtub is located along the long wall, the sink with a washing machine underneath it – to the right of the entrance. The toilet is placed on the left. After closing the pipes above the bathtub, there remains space for a niche that can be used as a storage space.
Elongated bathroom
The bathroom area is 3.75 square meters. Along the far short wall there is a bowl one and a half meters wide, next to it is a toilet. To the left of the entrance is a suspended sink, fixed to the countertop. The bowl can be replaced with a shower cabin.
Option with a corner shower
A sink is mounted opposite the entrance (a washing machine can be placed under it if necessary). A corner shower cabin takes up a minimum of space, but is very practical and visually attractive. The toilet is placed to the left of the entrance, so it remains to the side and is not conspicuous.
A small bathroom is not a death sentence: it is possible to arrange a comfortable space even with a modest footage.
