Clothespins for small items
Many people store potholders, kitchen towels and hot pads in the corner cabinet. To prevent them from taking up much space, you can use special clothespins. They can be easily attached directly to the cabinet door to quickly get the thing you need.
Pull-out drawers
This design is quite popular: it allows you to use the entire interior space of the cabinet. At the same time, it is convenient to pull out the desired drawer without touching the rest of the structure. It is important to ensure that the compartments are the right size: if you store pots and pans in them, the height should be sufficient.
The drawers are also suitable for:
- spices, cereals and products that do not spoil at room temperature;
- cutlery;
- cleaning products.
Carousel from the shelves
Deep corner cabinets are roomy. But to get the dishes standing against the wall in the back, you first have to take out those that are closer to the edge.
This is inconvenient, but there is a fairly simple solution. If you place a rotating podium inside the cabinet, it will be easier to get cups and mugs.
Single space
A common problem with corner cabinets is unused space at the junction. To avoid this, you can install a solid module that visually looks like two compartments.
The presence of a pair of doors makes it practical, and the absence of a partition inside makes it roomy. This is a good option if you plan to store household appliances inside.
Butt-to-butt cabinets
You can arrange two sections perpendicularly. One will form a “blind zone”, and the other will be smaller in volume.
A more spacious cabinet can be used to store dishes and appliances that are used less often. Their doors can open vertically or slide out, depending on convenience.
The “locomotive” system
This is a special system that involves the sequential sliding out of compartments for storing dishes. A cabinet with such a mechanism may seem compact, but it can hold many more items.
Garage for household appliances
A rational solution is to place the necessary household appliances in a corner cabinet. But it is not always convenient to get them out of a cabinet with standard doors. You can install a so-called “garage”.
Its main difference from the standard modules of the set is in the blinds system. They go up and down like a real garage.
These solutions for the corner of the kitchen unit are universal and can significantly increase the ease of use. In conditions of limited space, you can increase the capacity of the cabinets without visually cluttering the room. The modernized corner will look neat and aesthetically pleasing, but it is much more convenient to use.
