Edged board
Most owners of small households build gazebos from wood – it is beautiful, easy and relatively inexpensive. Wooden buildings fit well into the landscape of a modest estate, especially if it is built from logs or logs. Edged board is probably the simplest and most accessible natural material for cladding a cozy gazebo in a rustic style.
To ensure that the walls are well protected from wear and tear and the destructive effects of the environment, the boards must be carefully treated with protective compounds and a durable final coating must be applied.
Slats
Thin wooden strips, located parallel or at an angle to each other, serve both as protection from prying eyes and as a decoration for the gazebo. It looks light and airy, and to prevent the wind from bothering vacationers, you can finish only the upper part of the structure with slats, while sheathing the bottom with boards tightly.
The slatted frame will serve as an excellent support for bindweeds – thanks to them, in just a couple of years your gazebo will be transformed, becoming more comfortable and protected.
Clapboard
Another successful option for the exterior decoration of wooden gazebos is clapboard. It is easy to install, so even an inexperienced owner can handle the task. The slats can have different widths and surface shapes. The finished coating can be easily painted in any color you like or varnished to preserve and emphasize the natural beauty of the wood.
Block house looks interesting and original – clapboard that imitates a rounded log. If the country house is built from it, the solution suggests itself.
Siding
This material can be wooden or vinyl, so it is well suited for any gazebos. Siding can be quickly used to cover walls, having a minimum of construction skills and tools. It looks neat and dignified, serves for many years and is inexpensive. The variety of colors is another argument in favor of this option.
Modern vinyl siding is difficult to distinguish from natural wood in appearance, while it retains its original appearance and excellent performance for 20 years.
Polycarbonate
Let’s close the topic of wooden gazebos and let’s move on to light metal structures. They are erected in a short time and are not expensive, but it is more difficult to give them an aesthetically attractive appearance. You want to cover the welded frame with something so that the result looks solid or, at least, neat and stylish. The solution is obvious – polycarbonate.
You can make both the roof and the walls from translucent polycarbonate sheets, and to make the gazebo look more impressive, add forged elements.
Corrugated sheeting
Inexpensive and reliable corrugated sheeting can serve as an affordable alternative to polycarbonate if you need to decorate the walls of a small summerhouse gazebo without any claims to originality and chic. Profiled sheeting can be installed in one day, it can be easily painted in the chosen color, and the durability of such a coating will depend on the quality of the material, or rather on its thickness and anti-corrosion properties.
Summer residents often have profiled sheeting left over from the construction of a fence or roof. If you are one of them, why not use the reserves?
Clinker tiles
Of course, the most comfortable, reliable and beautiful gazebos are those built of stone or brick. But these are expensive materials, and the construction process itself requires time and skill. Stone and brick buildings hardly need external finishing, because they look decent anyway. Facing may be necessary if the owners decided to save on the construction of a capital gazebo and used lightweight blocks.
Block walls look unsightly, so it is wiser to plaster or paint them, and if the soul asks for luxury, lay clinker, which is incredibly durable and indistinguishable from fired brick.
Decorative stone
This option is far from economical, but it opens up a wide scope for creativity and is suitable for those who put solidity and style first. Finishing tiles imitating stonework can have any color, shape and origin – both natural and artificial.
Decorative stone has different weights depending on the composition. Heavy natural coverings are not suitable for block gazebos; such elite material is used to decorate brick buildings.
