Layout
Initially, the studio apartment had no partitions; it was an open square space. So there was no need to demolish the old ones or build new ones. All the changes affected only the balcony: an increase in area from 2.2 to 4.4 sq. m. and insulation turned it into additional storage space for household items and relaxation.
Color scheme and style of the studio
The studio is designed in two colors – white and blue. This spectacular combination, emphasized by wooden oak surfaces of a dark shade, brings marine freshness to the interior of the apartment.
Colored accents – sofa cushions, carpets with a patterned ornament and “striped” – add brightness and dynamism to the design of the apartment. In small apartments, the most optimal style is minimalism, and in this case it was chosen as the main one. The designers used colored textiles as decor.
Living room design
Painting the walls with Tikkurila “Metallic Harmony” paint allowed us to achieve a “worn” effect, which gave the studio interior its originality. In the apartment, the wall behind the TV panel was covered with chipboard sheets covered with oak veneer – the noble wood adds solidity and respectability. Parquet boards were used as flooring, matching the color of the wall decoration.
To make the most of such a small area of 31 sq. m, the furniture was made according to the sketches of the project designers. The sofa, which turns into a bed at night, was made by Mediliani. The living room has a storage system – a large built-in closet.
The design of the apartment was created taking into account the owner’s hobbies – he loves art and appreciates decor, so shelves and racks for books were provided. Some of them were placed in the living room, some in the dining area, hidden under the island countertop with a hob on top. In addition, there are open shelves under the TV panel.
General lighting is provided by overhead lighting fixtures mounted on the ceiling. In addition, the sofa area is highlighted with a pendant in the form of a glowing hoop. Next to the sofa is a stylish black floor lamp purchased at IKEA, it will help create intimate lighting and will serve as a reading lamp during evening and night rest.
Kitchen design
The bottom row of cabinets in the kitchen, like the vertical cabinet for household appliances, are covered with white glossy facades. The facades of the upper row are made of the same material as the finishing of part of the wall in the living room. The upper and lower cabinets are separated by a metal “apron”: its untreated surface is painted black.
The kitchen has a free-standing “island”, a hob is cut into the countertop at the top, and underneath there are storage drawers and an oven.
A board on which you can write with a marker serves a decorative function: funny drawings or notes for memory bring life to the strict design of the apartment.
The dining room is represented by a dining group: a table and four chairs around it. The white rectangular tabletop of the dining table is located on a fairly massive wooden base of a natural wood color.
In the kitchen area, built-in lamps are responsible for the general lighting. Additional lighting is built into the hood above the hob. The dining group is accentuated by an elegant pendant made of seven transparent glass lampshades located at different heights.
Hallway design
A small hallway in the apartment is finished with light large-format Estima tiles – this allows to visually increase its volume. Two SVL lamps provide sufficient lighting – they are built into the ceiling.
Bathroom design
The bathroom looks very impressive, the floor and part of the walls in it are laid with large white smooth tiles, and the ceiling and walls in the “wet” areas are made of black “bricks” of slate.
A juicy blue accent is added to the classic minimalist combination of white and black – a heated towel rail. In addition to the general lighting provided by the same ceiling lights as in the hallway, there is a backlight above the mirror, hidden in a box.
