What is the difference between a sofa and a ottoman, couches and sofas?

A sofa is not very tall and has a back with armrests located at the same level, unlike a ottoman or a couch, which most often do not have a headrest and armrests. Compared to a sofa, it has more compact dimensions and a thinner frame, and is also more rigid than a sofa model.
