Kitchen-living room 18.6 sq. m.
The room combines two functions: a place for receiving guests and a place for cooking and eating. Near one of the walls there are soft cozy sofas, above them there are open shelves for books, hung in a rather unusual way – in a “herringbone” pattern.
Here you can rest and relax, leaf through magazines or chat with friends. In the “sofa area” one wall is decorated with panels with a pattern reminiscent of wooden skirting boards laid out in a diamond shape.
The furniture was selected in such a way that one item would perform several functions at once. Thus, the kitchen worktop “also” serves as a dining table, and a small sofa, when unfolded, turns into a guest bed.
Comfortable chairs have transparent seats and thin but strong metal legs – this solution allows them to “dissolve” in space, creating the impression of free volume. Even the decor elements in this small compact apartment are functional: the bookcase forms a pattern reminiscent of the pattern on the kitchen walls, the pots for green plants have a white glossy surface and work to visually increase the volume of the room.
Bedroom of 7.4 sq. m.
The room turned out to be very compact, but it solves its main task: the married couple has the opportunity to retire. The minimalist bedroom in the design of an apartment of 44 sq. m. includes everything you need: a bed, small bedside tables and a wardrobe with mirrored doors – they help to visually increase the area of a small room.
The main decorative element in the room is the wall behind the headboard, covered with panels with a relief pattern of blueberry color. Black and white photos on the walls add graphic quality to the bedroom interior.
Children’s room 8.4 sq. m.
For finishing the walls in the children’s room, we chose practical wallpaper – no matter what the child draws on the wall, it can be painted over without resorting to expensive repairs. Flooring – natural oak laminate from Quick Step. White children’s furniture, classic shape from IKEA.
Combined bathroom 3.8 sq. m.
In the bathroom, we used porcelain stoneware and tiles from the Corten-Heritage collection by Tau Ceramica, and IKEA furniture.
Dressing room 2.4 sq. m. + hallway 3.1 sq. m.
In the entrance area, we managed to allocate space for a dressing room, which became the main place for storing everything necessary. Its area is only 2.4 sq. m., but carefully thought-out contents (baskets, hangers, shoe racks, drawers) allow you to fit everything a young family needs here.
For receiving guests, designers suggested using folding chairs, and special hooks appeared in the dressing room – chairs can be easily secured above the door, they practically do not take up space and are always at hand.
