Jewelry Storage Organizer
Jewelry, especially those made of precious metals and stones, requires careful and safe storage. You can make an organizer yourself if you have the necessary materials at hand.
Necessary materials and tools:
- a box with several small compartments;
- felt fabric;
- wrapping paper;
- PVA glue.
Sequence of actions:
- Measure the internal dimensions of one box to determine the size of the pads. The rings will be placed on them later.
- Cut out rectangles from felt fabric, the width of which corresponds to one of the sides of the inside of the box.
- Fold each piece of fabric into a tube, fix the edges with glue. To make the elements more rigid and voluminous, sheets of wrapping paper are placed on top of the felt blanks before forming them.
- Each box is filled with tubes to create dense relief cushions. If there are gaps between the elements, it is better to glue them to the paper base using double-sided tape and then place them in the box. This will make them stable.
The recesses between the felt tubes are convenient for storing rings. However, you can also place other jewelry in the compartment: bracelets, pendants, etc. This device can also be used to store cosmetics, small items, and needlework items (threads of different colors, pins, and other accessories).

- 2 identical patterns made of denim with sides of 40 and 27 cm;
- 2 patterns made of calico measuring 25*15 cm;
- 2 zippers;
- decorative tape;
- elastic cord;
- button.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Make patterns for the main parts. First, cut out 2 rectangles from different types of fabric: denim (for the base) and calico (for the pockets). The size of the first type of parts is 40*27 cm, the second – 25*15 cm.
2. Fold the pocket patterns in half at the corners and sew at a distance of 3 cm from the edge. In this way, process all 4 corners of each calico part.
3. Cut the processed patterns into 2 unequal parts.
4. We overcast each of the 4 received elements on the overlock.
5. We place the lock on the middle of the pocket cut, baste and sew on the allowances.
6. From calico we cut out 4 rectangles with sides of 4 and 3 cm, fold on 2 sides and iron.
7. Fasten the zipper on both sides.
8. Place 2 facings on each pocket: at the beginning and end of the zipper. Sew, then cut off excess fabric.
9. Fold the pocket edges inward 1 cm and stitch.
10. Baste the pockets to the denim blank, orienting them as desired. Sew.
11. Mark the middle of the upper edge, from which we measure 7 cm in both directions, and 3 cm down. Make buttonholes at the found points.
12. Thread the cord through the holes.
13. Fasten the corners of the pattern, sew the tape along the edges.
14. Attach a loop of elastic to the middle of the top. Connect the denim piece with the second identical pattern, orienting them with the front sides inward. Stitch along the edge, without touching the tape. Don’t forget to leave 10 cm for turning.
15. Turn the piece inside out, sew up the holes by hand.
16. Sew on a button. Fold and fasten the organizer.
This organizer can be used as a cosmetic bag or a storage system for any small items.
