Shelves

To place pots with plantings, you can use a mobile serving table on wheels – its high sides will protect the seedlings from falling. Another good option is a mini-greenhouse, which will protect the shoots from night frosts. You can buy a ready-made one or make it yourself using film.

The most suitable place for growing seedlings in an apartment is a windowsill, which provides good lighting for greenery. But its width is often not enough to accommodate all the pots.

On the wall

A vertical garden is a great solution for those who do not have spacious rooms or balconies, but love to grow flowers, vegetables and herbs. This technique not only saves useful space, but also decorates the interior.

Seedlings that do not occupy horizontal surfaces will be inaccessible to children and pets. To place pots on the wall, use wooden boxes or a metal grid: in the first case, the containers are placed directly inside, and in the second, they are attached with wire or hooks.

To avoid buying pots, use disposable plastic cups.

Seedling containers

Retailers have already taken care of gardeners, so they offer numerous options for boxes for planting seeds. The most suitable shape for such containers is rectangular. It rationally occupies the area of the window sill and looks very harmonious, so it is suitable for those who care about aesthetics.

It is allowed to fill the soil both in the pockets themselves and in pre-prepared pots. In the second case, the device acts as a holder, allowing you to neatly organize the containers on the wall.

Bottles

This method of planting will take some time, because first you need to accumulate the bottles. To create hanging pots, you will need a stationery knife, wire and strong cords. Plastic is easy to process and lightweight, so a hanging mini-garden will be a simple and budget-friendly solution.

Bottles can be hung both horizontally and vertically – it depends on the number of seedlings and the space allocated for them.

Eggshells

And finally, one of the most unusual and fun ways to grow seedlings. Small pots are made from an egg split into a quarter, and the containers for them are made from cardboard trays.

This is not only practical, but also useful: calcium is easily absorbed by plants, and the elements contained in the shell deoxidize the soil. The shoots are planted directly in the shell, due to which the root system is not damaged.
