Turquoise Room

The apartment of Marina and Sergey, a young family with two sons and a rabbit, is located in the Moscow region. Its design was thought out by the owners themselves.

Initially, Marina wanted a bedroom in a classic style, but she did not like the result and the room became more modern. The rich turquoise color of the wallpaper charges the hostess with energy from the very morning.

A bright thick-knit blanket acts as a bedspread – it gives the room in cold shades of coziness.

Sleeping place

One of the walls is occupied by a white wardrobe 56 cm deep – the size is determined by the distance to the window opening. One of the sections is occupied by the hostess’s workplace. She did not have space to arrange an office, so the table and computer were installed in the closet. When closed, the corner is invisible.

A large family lives in this Moscow apartment – Olga Shangina with her husband, three children and a cat. The area of the master bedroom is 14 sq.m. During the renovation, the owner painted the walls white with a gray undertone, but did not change the old walnut furniture – the bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

The main accent of the room is the textiles – the owner bought the material with huge embroidered poppies in a nearby fabric store when she went out for groceries. The curtains and tablecloth on the table were sewn from it. The brown frame of the bed is disguised by a bedspread with picturesque folds to the floor.

The pillows to decorate the bed were designed by Olga’s friend from her son’s kindergarten, who studied embroidery in Paris. Decorative pillows echo the abstract painting at the head of the bed.

Gray bedroom with a reading corner

Art critic Margarita Peterson lives in this apartment in the Moscow region. The area of the bedroom is 17.7 m. The walls are covered with dark gray wallpaper – the owner wanted to create a more intimate atmosphere in a spacious room. The white window frame and furniture make the room seem lighter.

Initially, Margarita chose a bed with a white frame, but when she arrived at the store, she found a more budget-friendly option from the new collection.

The owner spied the design of the library with a windowsill bench in American houses during a trip to the USA. A cozy bed could cost hundreds of thousands of rubles, but a long search led to a workshop that agreed to make it much cheaper. The furniture makers successfully designed the bench and cabinets, having no experience of similar orders.

Part of the bedroom is set aside for a work area. Clothes are stored in chests of drawers and on an open hanger rack.

Bedroom in the attic

The house in the Leningrad region has a rich history – it was built by the owner’s great-grandfather in the early 1960s. A young couple with two daughters, a mother and a cat live here. The second floor of the house remained an attic for a long time.

The owners covered the roof and walls with clapboard and emphasized the beams with tinted varnish. Initially, they wanted to cover the ceiling, but fortunately, they abandoned the unreasonably expensive idea and created a bedroom “with character”.

In addition to the bed, the room contains antique furniture and two suitcases that serve as nightstands. Wardrobes are located on both sides of the bedroom – clothes are stored there.

White Scandinavian Bedroom

This rented apartment in a Khrushchev-era building became Natalia Chuvinova’s first “independent” home. The girl studied to be a graphic designer, and arranging a two-room apartment with her own hands became a new interesting goal for her.

Natalia painted the smaller room white to visually expand the space. She got the pallets for the bed from friends, but she had to saw and sand them by hand. The girl had no strength or desire left for painting.

Bedroom

The floor mirror was broken by workers hired to assemble the chest of drawers, but they returned the money for it. The designer is not embarrassed by the cracks – she finds them picturesque.

There is a small open dressing room next to the bedroom – with a hanger, a horizontal shelf and a chest of drawers for linen. Thanks to the light walls and minimalist window design, the room creates the impression of a light, airy space.

Blue and Light Blue Room

The owner of the apartment, Ekaterina Zyabreva, works at Russian Railways and has nothing to do with interior design. When arranging the 11 sq. m she took the simple route, using complementary shades of the color wheel – blue and light blue, diluting the cold range with warm gray textiles.

Bedroom in blue colors

The main accent was the painting placed above the velor upholstery at the headboard. The abstraction was painted by Ekaterina herself, for whom painting is a hobby.

The room’s window is decorated with roller blinds and curtains in the color of the upholstery and pillows. The storage system located along the wall is hidden by a dense, single-color material.

Bedroom with bright details

The apartment in the new building was rented out with pre-finishing, so its owner, Tatyana Zvinenko, was able to immediately begin arranging and selecting furniture. When starting the renovation, the woman was guided by the Scandinavian theme, but she decorated the bedroom in blueberry-blue tones so as not to dissolve in light shades.

Bright yellow curtains and multi-colored pillows add warmth and coziness.

Bright Bedroom

The space is filled with details dear to the heart: the owner keeps her favorite books and photographs here and never works on the bed. For clothes, there is a white corner wardrobe in the room, which allowed the space to be used most rationally.

Tatiana never went shopping in search of decorative details: everything that is on the shelves, she either brought from trips or made herself from natural materials. The owner ordered the calligraphy cards from a friend, an artist.

Eco-minimalism

A young family of architects with a cat lives in a one-room apartment in Moscow. The owners decorated the bedroom in a laconic style, diluting the light gray background with warm beige curtains.

The headboard of the bed is made up of pillows fixed to the wall, which add originality to the decor. There is also a computer desk for work in the room.

Laconic Bedroom

Opposite the bed there is a niche that appeared as a result of the kitchen remodeling. The owners decorated it with a floor-to-ceiling mirror, optically increasing the space, and filled it with pebbles to support the eco-theme. The detail looks impressive and adds originality to the atmosphere.

Bedroom with patterned wallpaper

The owner of a small apartment of 40 sq.m. is a young woman Alina, who lived here with her parents as a child. The owner works as a TV editing director and paints in her free time.

The bedroom interior is decorated traditionally – it is decorated with wooden furniture that matches the floor, thick curtains paired with tulle and a soft cozy bedspread. There is no closet in the room – Alina keeps her main things in the hallway.

Cozy bedroom

The artist waited three months for the geometric wallpaper for the bedroom – it was on its way to Russia from Holland. When the walls were papered, Alina’s father was surprised to report that similar patterns were in his St. Petersburg apartment, where he lived many years ago.

The main highlight of the bedroom is the easel and the abundance of paintings. Above the headboard hangs a portrait of the owner, which was painted by her best friend.

Bedroom in a summer house

The original idea when decorating a country house was simple: two generations of a large family wanted to make the space cozy, ergonomic and as budget-friendly as possible, while preserving the historical atmosphere. The main initiator was Tatyana Chursina, an artist by profession.

Bedroom at the dacha

The walls and ceiling of the bedroom were covered with boards and covered with white wax, preserving the texture of the wood. New furniture was found at second-hand stores, on Avito and in IKEA, and the decor was invented by ourselves. The bed was also made by hand.

The owners patinated the wardrobe, bought from a professorial family, with a special enamel, giving it an antique look. The bedroom decor is eco-friendly, stylish and cozy.
